Jane Knight
"My process is very important to me. It takes me back to the studio like an addiction."
Jane Knight is currently teaching senior school art students and she has never stopped seeking out new mediums and methods with which to express herself, and to pass on ideas and techniques to her students. Often working in an improvisational and intuitive way, Knight 'feels' her way forward. The process is all-important to her and this is what motivates and moves her from one project to the next. She allows herself to remain open to the effects that happen along the way. Her subjects are as varied as her mediums are. Often quiet spaces and places draw her to them, be they real or imagined.
Jane has exhibited in the Cape, East London, Pretoria and Johannesburg and she is hoping to have an exhibition in London with her daughter in the near future.
Lala Crafford
Lala Crafford's preferred medium is mixed-media collage or installation art. Her collages are usually a gathering of Letraset scraps, old artwork leftovers, ink experiments and recycled doubts. Her recent digital experiments visually play with the theme of grids and personal totems. Her work is often between disciplines as she experiments on various platforms with both analogue and digital media.

Lesley Deysel
An artist and scientific illustrator, Deysel studied archaeology and ancient languages at the University of Pretoria, culminating in a dissertation on animal names in ancient Hebrew. She has been a botanical artist for many years with her work appearing in a number of books and journals. She draws on this background to create mixed-media works that combine the meticulous detail of scientific illustration with looser and more imaginative elements, reflecting her fascination with biology and the ancient world, and her wider mission of transgressing boundaries between the scientific and the mythic.
