Liekie Fouche
Liekie Fouché is a South African artist who produces eclectic works, simultaneously recollecting the European Renaissance, African landscape and modern Space Age. Mystical figures set against a backdrop of quiet landscapes and planets create a holy sentiment in a holistic and Jungian sense.
Working primarily in oil pastel and graphite pencil with multiple layers of varnish on board, her work resembles classic oil paintings. Single elements of collage are often added, creating an unexpected interaction between the drawn technique and photography.
Her meditative process allows images from her internal reality via the conscious, the unconscious and subconscious, often appearing as silhouettes and shadows of plants and animals, UFOs, airplanes and angels in contemplation.
Loeritha Saayman
Loeritha Saayman obtained her degree in Visual Arts at UNISA. In 2000 she opened the Brooklyn Fine Arts Studio, where she has taught art for seven years. Today it is her private studio where paintings and sculptures are made on consignment, and where she constantly prepares for the next group or solo exhibition. Most of her work is done in mixed media.
She had 8 solo exhibitions since 2004 and takes part in group exhibitions locally and abroad. Loeritha is also involved in various community projects on a regular base. She acts as a judicator at the National Eisteddfod Academy annually, and serves on the council of the Association of Arts, Pretoria.
Her art finds home in numerous private and corporate collections and proudly forms part of the permanent collections of the Pretoria Art Museum, Polokwane Art Museum, North-West University, the office of former president, Thabo Mbeki, SANAVA and the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture in China, where she represented South Africa in 2013, on a cultural exchange program for African Artists. She was in art residency in France for three months at the end of 2015, and again in 2019. During the last residency she had the opportunity to show her work at Tour du Monde en 14H, a group show held at the Citè International des atrs, which formed part of the Paris design week.

Margaret Nel
Margaret Nel is an artist working in Pretoria, South Africa, since 1974. Her work is housed in numerous public, private and corporate collections and has been represented in various group and solo exhibitions, culminating in a substantially reviewed and critiqued retrospective exhibition housed within the National Cultural History Museum in 2000, featuring more than sixty seminal works.
Nel's early creative output was largely shaped by the ground of the late Pop movement which she entered upon as a student and young professional artist, with the aesthetic sensibilities of Hard Edge in particular, combined with the return to figuration as motivated by the work of Valerio Adami and the Nouvelle Figuration group, having a seminal impact on her oeuvre.
Nel's current work has become increasingly drawn towards rendering the psychological schism and loss of personal control within the ground of random violence, which remains unnegotiated and unfamiliar. The effects of mental debilitation and the unremittant threat to self, which translates as the negating of identity, have translated into a partial technical return to earlier planar abstraction, a total abandonment of earlier symbolic semiotic holding devices, and the rendering of the figure in over life-size proportions.
Philip Badenhorst
Philip Badenhorst (born 1957), one of South Africa's most celebrated painters, comments on the contemporary existential crises from within the broad framework of Romantic Expressionism. His work is characterized by the dramatic use of chiaroscuro, painterly colour and rich impasto.
Badenhorst uses human figures, surrounded by flowers, foliage, bouquets, dark forests and water. Although the artist's work is not devoid of social realities, the viewer enters his inner world with the leitmotif the artist's own history, his own fears and life. The viewer is seduced by the surface of the paintings and discovers layers of content beyond the obvious qualities, the disarming sense of vulnerability creating an almost uneasy sense of voyeurism.
Badenhorst's career as an artist includes almost forty solo exhibitions and he has participated in nearly one hundred group exhibitions in South Africa and abroad since 1981
