Karyn Wiggill (RMS, MPSGS) is an artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is primarily self-taught. She enjoys drawing and painting a variety of subjects, including wildlife, the human figure, portraits, landscapes, architecture, and botanical themes.
An internationally recognised miniaturist, Karyn regularly exhibits her work both locally and abroad and has won numerous awards. A First for Drawing (Graphite) at MASSA Annual Exhibition, Hyde Park, JHB in 2025, Best on Show in the Degrees of Realism Exhibition at The Drawing Guild, Parkhurst, RSA in 2021, a Gold Bowl Honourable Mention at Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Engravers, UK in 2019 and Best Work by a Young Artist a MASF Exhibition, Florida, USA in 2011 are only four of the thirty three awards Karyn received between 2009 and 2025.
She holds a full membership of the Royal Miniature Society (RMS) in the UK and has been appointed to its council. Additionally, she is a member of the Miniature Society of Washington, DC. (MPSGS).
Her large pencil drawings have been featured in two American publications: "Strokes of Genius 5" and "Art Journey Animals: A Collection of Inspiring Contemporary Masterworks."
