This series of fifteen works explores the relationship between artistic discovery and failed inspiration. It examines the human figure in combination with expressive yet fragmented line work.
Gericke is a visual artist based in Strand, Western Cape. Her artistic body of work began with an initial fascination with the human form. Her innate interest in combining this visual language with a more emotive subject matter led her to explore the different ways of abstracting the human form.
